Lynda has worked as both an adult and paediatric nurse, mainly in primary care. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, she led the development of a nurse-led minor treatment centre in central London during the 1990’s. As part of a research project, the centre was supported by a telemedicine link with the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Belfast. Using a simple ISDN2 videoconferencing link enabled them to deliver a wide and complete scope of care for their patients. Following a role as a Telemedicine Manager with WorldCare, Lynda started her educational career at the University of Hertfordshire, most recently leading the National Practitioner Programmes Unit. The Unit’s purpose was to develop and implement a number of educational programmes to support the New Ways of Working agenda in conjunction with the various National Curriculum Frameworks. Lynda was Programme Tutor for the Anaesthesia Practitioner, Emergency Care Practitioner and Critical Care Paramedic programmes.
